Erik Ole Jørgensen, trained as an upholsterer before becoming a furniture architect, designed this 1978 series so that the loose cushions and oak frame work closely together. The J146 has spokes along the back and sides and curved armrests made for sinking in, and it has long been a fixture in Danish homes. Shown here in natural lacquered oak with dark blue upholstery.
