Jørgen Bækmark, FDB Møbler's design director from 1958, created this paper-cord series with a quiet design language and careful detailing, and it remains one of the best-known ranges from FDB's golden age. The J81 is the armchair version of the J80, suited to the head of the dining table or as an occasional chair on its own. Shown here in Jet Black painted beech.
