Børge Mogensen designed the J18 for FDB in the mid-1940s, drawing on 18th-century English Windsor chairs. Free of ornament, it is all about function: the solid backrest runs straight into low armrests that slide under most tabletops, and the shaped wooden seat tilts gently backwards. Shown here in brown oiled oak.
