Børge Mogensen designed the J52 family in 1952 as his lighter take on the English Windsor chair, replacing the bulk of the original with a row of simple staves under a curved top rail. The result is a comfortable chair with a plain, functional expression that works for dining as well as relaxing, and it is said to have been President Kennedy's favorite chair to relax in. Shown here in Brick Red painted beech.
