Børge Mogensen designed the J52 family in 1952 as his lighter take on the English Windsor chair, replacing the bulk of the original with a row of simple staves under a curved top rail. The result is a comfortable chair with a plain, functional expression that works for dining as well as relaxing, and it is said to have been President Kennedy's favorite chair to relax in. Shown here in natural oiled oak.
