Børge Mogensen designed the J52 family in 1952 as his lighter take on the English Windsor chair, replacing the bulk of the original with a row of simple staves under a curved top rail. In the 1950s he added rockers to create the J52G, a rocking chair for total relaxation that keeps the clean stave-back lines of the J52B. Shown here in Jet Black painted beech.
